Cloud covered sky
Sun shy
Too many eyes pry
For a glimpse –
An eclipse
Of your magnificense
But nature knows
The wind blows
Clouds go
As darkness grows
It’s time
For the show –
Day is night, all is right
Stunning, cunning sun alright
Twinkling, winking ring of light
Soaring sounds of awe and glee
We all be babies, drool, and squeee!
Goo goo ga ga, don’t mind me!
Three full minutes, pure and sweet
Grateful for this once-in-a-lifetime treat
Right at home where light bodies meet.
These photos don’t do it justice, but what a sight. We were very lucky to be able to experience it from our own backyard and hear the children cheering from the neighboring schools when totality hit. Awesome doesn’t even describe it. So, goo goo ga ga, it is.
