My Lady

Do not

You dare paint me

Lounging in the corner

Irreverently enjoying

Time out.

but she looks as lovely as a portrait, I’d want to preserve the moment… This poem is wonderful, it would be something I’d say– but no one will find me in such a beautiful dress, hehe. I like your poem. xo

Thank you, Selma. Those dresses were beautiful, but nobody would find me wearing one either!

  4. I read the “do not” as her way of saying, no, I won’t go with you… Her gown is stunning though… imagine the feel of the silk. I love the American cinquain. They always say so much with so few words.

Yes! I love silk, and I love the cinquain. I’m having fun working with the structure and leaving it open to many different interpretations. I appreciate you visiting! ☺️
